Annelisa Hussey is an Associate Director at Osterwald Rathbone & Partners in London.
Annelisa is a chemical engineer, where her specialty lies in nuclear technology. She has completed technical, commercial and policy roles in the UK nuclear industry, across both the public and private sectors.
She started her career in a commercial role at the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority where she contributed to financial, commercial, economic, management and strategic business cases for major infrastructure projects in the nuclear decommissioning industry.
She has also worked as a process engineer, firstly for a nuclear engineering consulting firm where she worked on the process design of an international nuclear fusion project. Her second technical role involved the technical aspects of retrieval, conditioning and packaging of legacy radioactive waste with one of the UK’s decommissioning operators.
In addition, Annelisa was a Policy Adviser within the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy where she worked on the transposition of the EU Basic Safety Standards Directive into the UK’s environmental legislation.
While at Osterwald Rathbone & Partners, Annelisa has applied her chemical engineering background to quantum damage calculations in several international upstream oil and gas disputes. She has also worked on projects in the pharmaceutical and transport sectors.
Annelisa holds a Master of Engineering degree in Chemical Engineering with Nuclear Engineering from Imperial College London and a Postgraduate Certificate in Nuclear Technology from the University of Manchester.
